Visegrad Business Community - Who are we?

The Visegrad Business Community is a hybrid of two social forces:

  • A non-governmental organisation committed to maximizing the economic, political and social potential of the post-communist European countries; particularly the enormous potential we see in the young Central European generation.
  • A global social network connecting a community of successful Central European professionals with professionals from the rest of the world.

We believe that greatest positive change in this region can be achieved by promoting and supporting micro-entrepreneurship, professional development, transparency, scientific education and research. We see enormous human potential in Central Europe, which is still far from being fully unleashed even after the successful transition to capitalism.

We have a particularly strong belief in the potential of young people and we are committed to helping them develop in ways that the public and the private sector have not yet succeeded in doing.

The VBC non-governmental organisation was founded in March 2007 in Central Europe to provide services, which contribute to these aims.

Most of the members of the Visegrad Business Community are either students or alumni of universities such as Harvard, Yale, Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, LSE, Upenn and others.

We are starting modest, yet have ambitious plans and passion.
